Keeping Children Safe at Tickton CE Primary

All children have the right to be safe and protected. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. At Tickton CE Primary School, safeguarding children is central to our core values. We have a child protection policy and safeguarding procedures in place to ensure that children are protected from abuse and neglect. All our staff ensure they are aware of these procedures. We are committed to identify and support concerns early, provide help for children, promote children’s welfare and prevent concerns from escalating.

In order to keep our pupils safe, there may be times when we will need to record, monitor and work with other agencies. We will share concerns with that child’s parents or carers unless we have reason to believe that this may not be in the child’s best interest.
