On behalf of everyone I would like to welcome you to Tickton C of E Primary School.  We believe that our school is a very special place for children to learn and we are delighted that parents choose for their children to embark on their learning journey here. We hope that our website will give you an insight into the life of the school by providing you with information about the various policies, practice and procedures along with photographs of the exciting things that happen here. We hope you enjoy browsing!
The school aims to help each child fulfil their potential by providing them, within a Christian ethos, a broad education of the highest quality in an excellent environment that has been improved over the past ten years.  We have a proven record of doing this and are held in high regard within the local

Our aims and mission statement are summarised in our school logo that states:

The school has seen rapid growth over recent years but we have never lost our foundations that are based on mutual respect for each other, high standards of work through high expectations and aspirations all achieved within a framework of exciting and innovative activities. Our children are all individual and are recognised as such and we provide for them according to their needs. We believe that our children learn best when members of staff and parents work in partnership and so we value your involvement with your child’s education.  Our ‘Open door’ policy ensures that we are always here to talk or listen and share in celebrations together. We are proud of the strong sense of community that involves all those connected with the school and value the contributions that everyone makes to help the school be the successful establishment it is. We welcome support towards the life and work of the school in whatever capacity it can be given and offer many opportunities for parents and friends to become involved.

We have a very strong link with the local Ecumenical Church with representatives from both the Methodist and St Paul’s Church working with us on a regular basis. The children attend services at both churches and also visit Beverley Minster to celebrate special events with parents. Christian values permeate our ethos ensuring we offer a safe and nurturing environment where each child can develop responsibility for themselves as an individual, those around them and those in the wider community and beyond. The dedicated skilled staff team provide children with exciting and engaging lessons that ensure they progress well. We also provide a wide range of curriculum enrichment activities to enhance children’s learning.  We have a supportive and hard working group of governors who use their skills and expertise to enhance the work of the school.

We are very proud of our school and our pupils’ achievements and believe that our success is brought about through everyone working together to make Tickton Primary a fun and creative place to learn and belong to.For further information please contact school so we can arrange for you to visit, there will always be a warm welcome waiting for you.
